My Goals

A Midwife of Technical Expertise

Personal

I value education, so I have taken continuing courses on areas that seek to improve gestational outcomes, especially body balancing and pelvic wellness. So, I will take the Holistic Treatment of The Postpartum Body by the Institute For Birth Healing in Fall 2024.

Professional

 

I plan to continue my clinical practice for Phase 2: Assisting while stationed in South Korea at a Evidence Based and Family Centered Birth Center that advocates for individualized and physiological births.

A Midwife of Professional Excellence

Personal

I will continue finishing my school trimesters with A's.

Professional

I will continue nourishing the relationship with the local South Korean midwives and with my preceptor.  I will continue to build a relationship with the local birth center to have the honor of entering into a preceptorship. 

A Midwife of Personal Greatness

Personal

 

I will continue learning ways to balance my academic and personal life by enjoying South Korea's beauty with my family and friends. I am currently doing the Black Yack 100 mountain challenge with my friends and family.

Professional

I will continue offering every semester scholarships to my Evidence Based Birth Childbirth Class to black, brown, indigenous, and Hispanic birthing people.

1. The undergraduate program aims to prepare graduates to practice at the full scope of the Certified Professional Midwife credential through the demonstration of broad, integrative, and specialized knowledge.

A midwife of professional excellence

2. The undergraduate program aims to advance equity and access in midwifery, as well as to prepare graduates to serve in diverse communities in culturally safe, ethical, and collaborative ways.

A midwife of personal greatness

3. The undergraduate program aims to prepare graduates for reflective practice and a perpetual commitment to advancing quality and professional direct-entry midwifery.
