Well Person Care
MDWF 2100
This course explores the basic health of birthing people across the lifespan. Topics covered include: the normal reproductive cycle,
dysfunctions of menstruation, contraceptive devices and information, sexually transmitted infections, how to perform a well-person
examination, and PAP smear interpretation. Also included is information about the female sexual response and various mental and
emotional aspects of wellness and health. Case studies are utilized to demonstrate the application of clinical judgment and management within the scope of care of the Certified Professional Midwife.
